Officers Arrest 79 Suspects In Crime Sweep

Officers arrested 79 people, including five related to homicides and 15 child predators (now charged), during a citywide enforcement operation last week with federal partners.
In total, 79 arrests, 98 federal/state/municipal warrants cleared, 69 new charges issued, plus narcotics and cash seized.
Members of KCPD’s Special Investigations Division, Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Gang Enforcement Squad, Illegal Firearms Squad, Crime Gun Intelligence Center, and SWAT teams were involved.
