Working with federal and local partners, KCPD helped put 307 felons behind bars over the last two months during Operation Red Card, culminating with a news conference announcement on May 8 at the Charles E. Whittaker Courthouse.

Together, law enforcement agencies cleared 442 warrants and helped bring forth federal charges on 170 defendants. They recovered nearly 247 firearms.

Law enforcement also seized large quantities of fentanyl, meth, cocaine, and other illegal narcotics, removing them from the streets.

This work reflects the great commitment and dedication within KCPD while highlighting the value of working with our law enforcement partners. Operation Red Card required precise coordination with numerous agencies, and these results are a testament to unity in the name of public safety.
