Below are the votes from the closed session meeting of the BOPC on April 21, 2026:

At 11:07 a.m., following a motion by Commissioner Boswell and a second by Commissioner Romious, the Board voted to go into closed session to discuss litigation matters, personnel matters and labor negotiations. The vote was 3-0 in favor. Following polling, Commissioner Whittaker voted Aye, Commissioner Romious voted Aye, and Commissioner Boswell voted Aye.
Following a motion by Commissioner Romious and a second by Commissioner Boswell, the Board voted to approve certain settlement authority in the case of Kathy Coots v. BOPC, in an amount not to exceed $___, and subject to certain terms of payment and other conditions[1]. The vote was 3-0 in favor. Following polling, Commissioner Whittaker voted Aye, Commissioner Romious voted Aye, and Commissioner Boswell voted Aye.
Following a motion by Commissioner Boswell and a second by Commissioner Romious, the Board voted to approve additional spending authority for outside counsel in the case of Kathy Coots v. BOPC, in an amount not to exceed $25,000. The vote was 3-0 in favor. Following polling, Commissioner Whittaker voted Aye, Commissioner Romious voted Aye, and Commissioner Boswell voted Aye.
At 12:07 p.m., following a motion by Commissioner Boswell and a second by Commissioner Romious, the Board voted to come out of closed session and adjourn. The vote was 3-0 in favor. Following polling, Commissioner Whittaker voted Aye, Commissioner Romious voted Aye, and Commissioner Boswell voted Aye.
