Unsolved Homicides
We appreciate witnesses coming forward and providing statements. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department will continue to investigate these and other homicides until the suspects are identified, caught, and the cases are brought to the appropriate prosecutor’s offices. On 09/21/2020, 1-year-old Tyron Payton was shot and killed while sitting in a vehicle with his parents, in front of their house in the 2900 Block of E. 33rd St. Anyone with information in regard to this case are encouraged to contact the Homicide Unit of the Kansas City Missouri Police Department, 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline.
On 07-11-2019 at 0529 hours, officers were dispatched to E 63rd Street/South Benton Avenue on a reported dead body. Upon arrival, officers contacted the calling party, a pedestrian who had come upon a body while walking down the sidewalk. It was determined that the victim, Marcus Warren, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds several hours earlier.

The victim was walking home from work when he was shot in the street near 56th Street and Park Ave., KCMO.

On 2/11/19 Wilson was shot in his vehicle while traveling on 67th Terrace/ Paseo Blvd.

On 8/5/2019 the victim was discovered deceased at 11th and Paseo Blvd. in the park.

On 7/7/2019 Ki’essence was shot and killed at 39th Street and Myrtle. She was the front passenger in a vehicle that was driving West on 39th Street when someone started shooting. She was an innocent victim minding her own business.

On 7/16/2019, at approximately 2241 hours, in the area of 81st and Blue Ridge Blvd, Hatcher was shot and killed while he was seated in the front passenger seat of a vehicle travelling on Blue Ridge Blvd.

On 03/27/2019 at approximately 0323 hours, Officers were dispatched to a party down in the street at 69th Terrace / The Paseo.
Upon arrival the officers discovered the victim lying in the street, near the northeast portion of the intersection suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
