Unsolved Homicides
We appreciate witnesses coming forward and providing statements. The Kansas City Missouri Police Department will continue to investigate these and other homicides until the suspects are identified, caught, and the cases are brought to the appropriate prosecutor’s offices. Occurred: 08/03/13, Swope and Michigan, 2248 hours
Victim was homeless and was involved in a physical dispute with
another homeless male. Victim died as a result of his injuries.

Occurred: 7/28/2013, 2623 E. 8th @ 0113 hours
Victim was walking down the street when he was shot in an attempt
robbery.

Antonious Davis B/M 08/11/1978
Occurred: 7/25/2013, 6617 Olive @ 1124 hours
Victim arrived at the residence to visit a friend when he was confronted
by the suspects who were burglarizing the residence. The suspects shot
and killed the victim.

Oscar Chavez W/M 9/4/83
On July 7th, 2013, at approximately 6:30 pm, officers were dispatched to 5837 E
16th Street. Upon arrival, they found the victim deceased inside the residence.

Christopher Jones B/M 25 YO
On 07-01-2013 at approximately 0206 hours, Christopher Jones was
discovered deceased from apparent gunshot wounds lying on the front
porch of 115 N. Drury Ave., KCMO.

Carlton L. Lewis B/M 27 YO
On 06/24/2013 at approximately 9:18 pm, Carlton Lewis was discovered deceased from
apparent gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the Sycamore Groves Apartments (1711 Kansas
Avenue).

Occurred: 06/08/2013 @ 5821 College
A large neighborhood celebration turned deadly when unknown suspects pulled guns and
began shooting. Both victims were hit by gunfire and died.
There was over 50 people present when this occurred.

Occurred: 04/08/13, 1538 hrs, 3018 Cleveland
Victim had been involved in an argument with another male; when two
associates of his came to the victim’s residence. When the victim
refused to fight them, one of the males shot him.

Occurred: 04/10/13, 0423 hrs, 4212 E. 105th
Victim was asleep inside his residence with his family when intruders
forced entry into the residence, killing the victim.

Victim was standing outside with a friend when the suspect walked up
the street and began shooting at him.
